Very occasionally at FX Rentals, we receive extraordinary hire requests - 20 drum kits for a TV advert, 30 guitars for a film shoot… so when the guys from Spitfire Audio asked for 56 guitar and bass amps to hire for a weekend at Air Studios, we were extremely curious.

It turned out to be part of an amazing project called 'Aperture: The Stack' which was to be Spitfire's latest sound library plugin. Their wall of sound comprised of our 56 guitar amps, plus four subs on 4 levels of rigging with audio sources generated from an unbelievable selection of vintage synths, drum machines, a Eurorack modular synth and guitars.

We supplied and delivered a varied mix of guitar and bass combos and amps and cabs; manufacturers ranged from Fender, Marshall, Orange and Vox to Mesa Boogie, Aguilar and David Eden… and others.
